There's no better feeling in the agent business than watching your client hear his name called on draft day.

SMWW Hockey Agency Director Michael Collier is celebrating after his client, William Bodnarok — a goaltender out of Velocity Hockey Academy — was selected by the Quebec Remparts in the 11th round, 190th overall, of the 2026 QMJHL Draft.

For Collier, a licensed PHPA and DEL Player Agent and certified Hockey Scout based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, this is what the work is all about — putting in the time with a young player, believing in his potential, and being there when that potential gets recognized on the biggest stage in Quebec junior hockey.

The Player: William Bodnarok

William is a goaltender who developed his game at Velocity Hockey Academy, where he put in the work day in and day out to earn this opportunity. Getting selected by one of the QMJHL's most storied franchises in the Quebec Remparts is validation of that grind — and a launching pad for what comes next.

The Agent: Michael Collier

Michael Collier is the SMWW Hockey Agency Director and a licensed PHPA and DEL Player Agent and certified Hockey Scout with extensive experience representing clients at the professional and amateur levels in North America and Europe. Based in Halifax — right in the heart of Canadian junior hockey country — Michael has built his reputation on trust, hard work, and a genuine commitment to each player he represents.

Getting a client drafted is one part of the journey. Michael will continue to guide William as he steps into the QMJHL and takes the next steps in his hockey career.

Congratulations to William Bodnarok, his family, and everyone at Velocity Hockey Academy. Well done, Michael.
