Motorsports Management FAQ

Have questions about working in racing? The Motorsports Management Course is designed for students who want to build careers across the motorsports industry — from race teams and tracks to sponsorship, marketing, media, foundations, event operations, and driver representation. Whether your goal is NASCAR, INDYCAR, Formula One, NHRA, grassroots racing, sports car racing, or the broader business of motorsports, this course helps you learn how the industry works behind the scenes.

Will the Motorsports Management Course help me get a job in motorsports?

Yes—but let's be honest.

No legitimate course can guarantee you a job.

What we can do is help you gain the knowledge, industry contacts, confidence, and insider perspective that employers value.

For eight weeks, you'll learn directly from Tom Weisenbach, a motorsports professional with more than 26 years of experience working with teams, tracks, sponsors, sanctioning bodies, and motorsports organizations in 21 countries.

You'll participate in live weekly sessions, ask questions, network with fellow students, and learn how the business side of racing actually works.

Most importantly, you'll become part of a growing network of SMWW alumni who have gone on to work with organizations such as:

• Joe Gibbs Racing
• Front Row Motorsports
• Charlotte Motor Speedway
• Michigan International Speedway
• Niece Motorsports
• Erebus Motorsport (Australia)
• Bahrain Motorsports

In motorsports, relationships matter.

The Motorsports Management Course helps you improve both "what you know" and "who you know."
