Just a few short months ago in January, businessman Tom Dundon acquired a majority stake in the Carolina Hurricanes for a reported $420 million, becoming owner of a major sports franchise at just 46 years old.

"I’ve watched hockey for a long time and I enjoy it,” said the self-made billionaire at the time, “but I think the part that’s most enjoyable is there are a lot of moving pieces and you get to figure out, hopefully, how to find a way to win or help people be successful. ”Carolina Hurricanes Owner Tom Dundon to speak at SMWW NHL Career Conference
