Mike King, entering his fourth season as the video coach for the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
Prior to his time with Ottawa, King worked for the AHL’s Hershey Bears where he served four seasons as the team’s video coach.  King’s primary responsibilities with Ottawa are pre-scouting opposition teams and helping the coaching staff game plan on a day-to-day basis. Prior to joining Hershey, King spent three seasons as the development coach with the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL.

 

In 2018, he joined the Bears’ parent club, the NHL’s Washington Capitals, assisting the coaching staff as the team ultimately captured its first Stanley Cup in franchise history. In 2021 and 2022, King was selected to represent the United States Men’s National Team at the World Championships in Riga, Latvia and Helsinki / Tampere, Finland respectively, winning a bronze medal in 2021.

King is a native of Center Conway, New Hampshire and currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.
