The 2024 Coachella Valley Invitational in Indio California is a 3 week showcase of preseason games for 11 MLS and 1 USL team to assemble and prepare their rosters for the upcoming season. The MLS has 3 locations hosting preseason games prior to the 2024 season with Indio being the largest hosting one third of the total MLS teams.

These games will include an expanded roster of the main players and the very best of their second team or affiliated team players to determine who will make the final 30-man roster and who will move or stay on the second team roster. Teams use these games as final looks and is the most crucial stretch of preparation for these teams. When the Invitational is over, teams will return home and finalize rosters to kick off their seasons.

Recently, it was announced that 4 NWSL teams will be joining the preseason games with matches to be announced. With this addition, fans can now see 16 professional soccer teams play games in one location.
