Concordia University provided the ideal opportunity for me to gain my Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Sports Management. And Concordia’s collaborative agreement with Sports Management Worldwide enhanced my experience throughout the program. As an assistant professor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the Department of Education
and an instructor of graduate Sports Management classes, I utilize my terminal degree—and the knowledge I gained through CUC and SMWW—each and every day. Under the supervision of my outstanding advisor, Dr. Kathryn Hollywood, I followed my passion, researching methods that applied to my work supervising teacher/coach candidates in secondary schools, and I published “Leadership Behaviors of Effective Interscholastic Athletic Coaches” in 2016.
