Long before founding Request Global Initiatives, Russell discovered that one of his greatest satisfactions came from helping young people grow. Beginning as a summer camp counselor, he learned that leadership often begins with listening, encouragement, and creating opportunities for others. Shortly after, he was invited to become a counselor and baseball coach at the Little League World Series Baseball Camp in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where he taught baseball fundamentals, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship to players from age 6 to 13. He had made the Baseball team as a Pitcher for Ft. Lauderdale College and Catcher at Queens College, in New York, but had the aspiration to start his own Semi-Professional Baseball team. There, he learned how to run an organization, assess and assemble talent, raise money for all expenses, and deal with all day-to-day operations. These experiences helped shape a leadership philosophy that would remain consistent throughout his career: People develop best when they are encouraged, challenged, and supported.
As he became more involved with Corporate affairs, fund raisers and special events, he started his own Entertainment Production Company, Request Global Initiatives, Russell had a gift of being able to keep audiences entertained and amused. Russell realized that Music has a common thread that reaches deep into the soul and spirit of every person, and touches them and inspires them, uniquely through family values, history of origin and background. Would Rocky have been able to train as hard as he did, and defeat Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago if he didn't hear that music? His experience taught him to use music as a great tool, to reach the younger generation with music that they like. Then they will pay closer attention. With this respect for every audience, Russell was always asked by clients and corporate sponsors to make sure to provide quality entertainment that everyone would be happy. They knew Russell would deliver. Consistent success is not easily achieved. However, in any field, especially in the Sports World, to achieve a consistent level success would be considered Greatness. Russell's family origin is from Italy and his Aunt had encouraged him to explore the Country of his origin. Because of her, he has a residence in Milan, and is continuing to connect with his heritage, and his destiny.
His professional ecosystem developed rapidly as he utilized his talents, and realized how to reach audiences of all nationalities, all cultures and all ages.
