Masayuki Maruhashi is a dynamic and multilingual sports professional with a diverse background and extensive experience in baseball. A native speaker of both Spanish and Japanese, and fluent in English, Masayuki leverages his multicultural heritage—being of Japanese and Mexican descent—to bridge cultural gaps within the international sports community. His journey in the sports world spans continents, from his early years playing baseball in El Salvador and Guatemala to competing at a high level in Japan and the United States.
Currently serving as a DSL Interpreter and Player Development Assistant with the Miami Marlins in the Dominican Republic, Masayuki combines his deep passion for baseball with a strong commitment to athlete development and cross-cultural communication. His experience as an interpreter for the Leones De Yucatán in Mexico further solidified his role as a crucial asset to international teams seeking to connect with players from diverse backgrounds.
Masayuki’s career has also been marked by his academic achievements. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Clarke University and has completed various certifications, including the Baseball GM & Scouting program with Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW), a credential that aligns with his future aspirations to advance in the front office or international scouting within Major League Baseball (MLB).
As a Global Ambassador for SMWW, Masayuki represents the organization’s commitment to fostering international collaboration in sports management, scouting, and player development. His unique blend of cultural insight, multilingual proficiency, and hands-on experience in baseball provides a valuable perspective to the global sports community. Through his role as a Global Ambassador, he is eager to continue connecting with professionals across the sports industry and promote the exchange of knowledge and talent worldwide.
