Ken Jacobs is one of cricket’s most respected administrators, with over 40 years of leadership experience at the local, national, and international levels. As CEO of Cricket Victoria (1980–2007), Ken oversaw a period of explosive growth, doubling player participation from 100,000 to 185,000 across 1,100 clubs and increasing annual revenue from $500,000 to $25 million.
Under his leadership, Cricket Victoria:
Implemented its first-ever strategic plan
Built a renowned local government and volunteer recognition program
Developed the Boxing Day Test Match branding program, now an iconic global event
Ken worked extensively with Cricket Australia to stage international matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), including the 1992 Cricket World Cup, countless One-Day Internationals, and the Boxing Day Test Matches. He was also engaged by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as Event Manager for the ICC Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.
Today, Ken runs a consultancy advising major sports organizations on strategic planning, sponsorship, branding, and corporate T20 competition development. He is also deeply involved with Cricket Without Borders (CWOB), helping grow women’s cricket through global tours, festivals, and cultural exchanges.
