Sports Broadcasting Course Testimonials
"Thanks to SMWW and the Sports Broadcasting course, I work at KFXX 1080 The FAN. In addition, during the High School Football season you could have heard me on the air reporting from different games, including the state championships! With my new skills, I am getting opportunities to cover Blazer games and Seahawks games and getting opportunities to be on the air and grow in this field."
Living the dream,
Josh Alexander
KFXX The Fan Josh Alexander KFXX The Fan Portland, Oregon The SMWW Sports Broadcasting Course was an excellent experience. Through the weekly readings and assignments, along with the weekly chats I had so much fun working on my style and interpretation with the other students. I was introduced to new software that helps with recordings and introduced to new websites that link you to jobs from all over the globe. The experience was amazing, especially for a sports fan!

Trevor Arroyo, Fox College Sports SMWW Grad Covers Beijing Olympics:
SMWW Sports Broadcasting Grad, Don Oyao, had the summer of a lifetime reporting for KCXL Integrity Sports at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Through his affiliation with Seychelles National Olympics, Oyao was able to travel the world consulting as a sports doctor and in his spare time, reporting on the games he attended.
For three months leading up to the Summer Olympics, Oyao covered events in St. Petersburg, Russia, Bologna, Italy, Cairo, Egypt, Paris, France and then finally the Olympics in Bejing. Every Wednesday, Listeners in Kansas City, MO heard Oyao's take on international competition and the events of the Olympic Games.
"SMWW Sports Broadcasting Program has allowed me to express much of my internalized sports knowledge through the medium of radio," Said Oyoa. "My love for sports and now my ability to share my passion and knowledge for sport has taken far and outreaching steps that I only had dreamed about, now it is becoming a reality." Don Oyao Thanks to Brian Wheeler and Steve Nash and SMWW I have accepted a job as the radio voice for minor league baseball. The live audio chats and mentoring I received was unbelievable. Mark Thorrington Tennis Teaching Professional Palos Verdes, California, USA I do not believe there is a better way to gain exposure to this much substantial material in a shorter period. You simply cannot effectively learn more in less time. Also the Audacity training tool is a gift that keeps on giving being that it can be used for the rest of your career as a broadcaster. Steven Deitch Sales Representative Las Vegas Gladiators Las Vegas, Nevada An educational experience, highly recommended for those individuals who aspire to become broadcasters.
