Receive College Credit

Western Oregon University (WOU), a member of the Oregon University System, has put its stamp of approval on Sports Management Worldwide's courses and offers a separate Credit Overlay Program. Students interested in obtaining college credit for Sports Management Worldwide courses must apply for the credit with Western Oregon University directly. Please follow the procedures below.

Students must first sign up for the course through Sports Management Worldwide before signing up for college credit through WOU. As soon as you have started the Sports Management Worldwide course, you may register with Western Oregon University for 3 quarter hour upper division credits (3 quarter hour credits = 2 semester credits).

If you choose to register for credit, you must do so within two weeks of starting your SMWW course. Once you have completed your SMWW course, y ou may not go back and add credit.

Follow the link below to print out the registration form. Fill out the form and fax to WOU at 503-838-8473. Here is the link for the registration form:

http://www.wou.edu/provost/extprogram/documents/dep_regform_smww.pdf

WOU charges tuition of $50 per credit. This is in addition to the cost of the course through SMWW. There are no refunds for this university credit. Once a student's grade is posted at WOU, the student may order a transcript from WOU's Registrar's Office and have it sent to the university he/she is attending full time. The home campus advisor will determine how the course may be used in a student's academic program. Students should consult their advisors prior to enrolling in a course. The credits you earn from Western Oregon University are Quarter hour credits, not semester credits (2 semester credits = 3 quarter hour credits)

Questions can also be directed to Bill Kent of SMWW at studentservices@smww.com
