SMWW Sports Career Conferences & Events
Sports Management Worldwide would like to invite you to join us at one
or all of our Sports Career Conferences or world famous "Meet and Greets". These events are held during
major sporting events so that you can experience the heart of the action.
"Conferences" provide an invaluable opportunity to learn about numerous
careers in sports and network with professionals currently working at the
highest level of sports. Head coaches, GMs, Directors of Player Personnel
and Scouting, ESPN writers, experienced sports agents, former professional
athletes and many others will be in attendance. For anyone that is looking
to work in sports, you can't miss this opportunity to meet and learn from
sports executives and the SMWW staff, all in the atmosphere of a sporting
event you have always dreamed of participating.
A "Meet and Greet," is a short informal get-together to network and meet fellow SMWW students, faculty, agents and sports career minded individuals. All sports career minded individuals are welcome. RSVP require.

*NBA Summer League Sports Career Conference, Las Vegas, Nevada-July 18th, 2008 (Friday, 9am-5pm)

The NBA Summer League is an NBA-operated league in which new rookies get acclimated to NBA competition and undrafted free agents, along with a handful of veterans, have the opportunity to earn an invitation to training camp in October. The 2008 NBA Summer League is held July 11 - 20, at Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Teams consist of players who have been in the league for 3 years or less as well as newly drafted talent. The purpose of the summer league is to evaluate talent...the perfect backdrop for those individuals wanting to get their foot in the door of professional basketball.
The Sports Career conference is being held Friday, July 18th, 2008 from 9am-5pm. This is your opportunity to gain valuable insight into a variety of careers from those working at the highest level in basketball! This day long career conference will offer unique panel discussions and question-answer periods designed to solidify the knowledge of every participant. The day will be split up into diverse speaker panels; including sports business, athlete representation, scouting, digital video editing, and sports career strategies. Your investment in the conference does not include tickets to the NBA Summer League games. Tickets go on sale June 2, 2008 at unlvtickets.com for the basketball games.
This conference is ideal to anyone interested in working in the MLB, NFL, MLS, NHL, but particularly the NBA.
UNLV will become the center of the basketball universe July 11th thru July 20th, as NBA executives, scouts, and coaches will gather in Las Vegas. Additionally, the NBA Summer League is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors and more than 500 print, television, and radio media members to Vegas.

February 27 & 28, 2009 - NFL Combine Sports Career Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn behind the scenes of the NFL
combine and NFL draft; create relationships with key individuals in the
sports business community and advance their knowledge of the business of
sports. If you have never been in Indianapolis around the NFL combine, you

Join Sports Management Worldwide at the Holiday Inn Select Kanata-Ottawa, Ontario on June 20th for the Sports Career Conference at the NHL Draft.
This is your opportunity to gain valuable insight into a variety of careers from those working at the highest level in hockey!
This day long (9am to 5pm) career conference will offer unique panel discussions and question-answer periods designed to solidify the knowledge of every participant.
