SMWW Graduate Lands Dream Job
Issac Estrada
Issac Estrada had built a successful career in real estate. When the recession hit he was forced to reevaluate his options. Having a love for sports and a some experience as an intern for the Oakland Raiders years back, Estrada decided to pursue his passion and attempt a career in football.

Estrada decided to enroll in SMWW's Football GM and Scouting course. Estrada focused on the course and gained valuable skills, "I especially enjoyed the online chats. The most valuable resource I gained from taking the course was the contacts I had made with instructor, John Wooten." said Estrada.

John Wooten hooked Estrada up with Tom Gamble, the director of Pro Personnel for the S.F. 49ers. Estrada was able to meet with Gamble and conduct an informational interview that is required for course completion. Estrada and Gamble hit it off, talking for over two hours about football and the sports industry. Tom Gambled suggested that Estrada send out his resume to as many organizations as possible and offered to act as a reference for Estrada.

Estrada did just that and was able to land a position in the football operaSan Jose Wolvestions department of the new professional arena football team, the San Jose Wolves. Estrada is now working with experienced professionals in the football industry and learning every day. "This opportunity to learn and grow is the best thing I could ever ask for, and I owe it all to Sports Management Worldwide!"
