launch your sports careerAll of my life I’ve wanted to become more organized. I see people who have their calendars, their schedules, all their stuff put in the right spot and think – why can’t I do that?

I try every year.

I make a pledge, set a routine, determine success metrics…and then two weeks in I enter back into my sloppy comfort zone.

This regression feels like snuggling back into bed on a cold morning – warm, cozy, welcoming.  But even if it feels right in the moment, it’s a yearly failure I endure.

Habits are hard to form and even harder to break. You become complacent, resorting back into your comfort zone because it feels easier.

Not better, mind you, just easier.

But to truly make change in your life you have to challenge easier. You have to push through complacency. You need to force change.

So ask yourself the question – what aren’t you happy with in your life?

Maybe you’ve lost the passion for your work, maybe you worry too much, maybe you eat too much fast food, maybe you feel you lack true purpose – none of these things are permanent. Everything can be changed, and you don't have to wait for January 1st to start a new resolution.
