Dear Students,
I created BCSbusters.com after being involved in college football for the past 50 years as a fan, athlete, coach, father, academic advisor, compliance officer, Athletics Director, Sports Agent, and College Professor. For years I did not see a need for a playoff system. It was my son who challenged me to defend why Division I football does not have a playoff when every sport and championship in the world is determined by a playpoff system.
I am now appalled of the college President's claim of missed classtime as the main reason. With the evolution of online education the arguement is pathetic.
We all know that the Major conferences are not interested in sharing the pie with the remaining school.
In short my goal is that college students ignite a grassroots campaign to demand a playoff system. Students on nearly every campus are required to pay student fees towards athletics which makes them stake holders just like boosters. Just think if students approached their student senate and asked to pass a resolution demanding their President support a playoff system or lose dedicated student funding to athletics. Money talks!
History has shown when college student activists want change they can be a powerful agent of change.
Hopefully, this website can be the catylyst for busting the BCS and bringing about a playoff system which provides a payoff to all the stakeholders!
