It has been a long time since I have had an NFL client to watch on TV. Thirteen years ago I signed Alex Van Dyke while my colleague Ben Dogra signed Mike Alstott. Needless to say, Ben has gone on to become a super agent in the NFL. It was that weekend when I knew I would be leaving SMG and Jim Steiner sometime in the future. Eventhough I represented over 20 clients in the NFL I felt the agent industry was not in a position to necessarily mentor the clients off the field because next year's recruiting was paramount for survival. Size does matter!
